Welcome to the City of Sarasota's Building, Zoning & Code Compliance Department's Building Permit information page. From this page, you can check the status of a building permit or application, by either the application/permit number or by the site address.

You can also download a blank building permit application, or fill it out online and print it for submission. Since building permits may require your signature and the inclusion of paper plans, you cannot currently submit the form online. The Building Department is working to allow online submission for certain permit types, and you will see changes to this site in the near future.
